Retail Orders & Distribution – FAQs

How do I place a retail order?

All business customers are set up with an account when they order through our website. Your first order is paid upfront. After that, you can apply for a 30-day account. If you have any questions before your first order, get in touch and we'll walk you through it.

Are orders firm sale or sale-or-return?

Most retail orders are firm sale, meaning you purchase the stock outright with no option to return unsold books. Sale-or-return arrangements are available to some well-established accounts. If you'd like to discuss this, get in touch before placing your first order.

Who sets the retail price?

We provide a recommended retail price (RRP), but you set your own sell price. Our wholesale pricing is low enough that retailers can make a solid margin at the RRP or below it.

Do products arrive price-stickered?

No. Products do not arrive pre-stickered. You set your own price.

Is there a minimum order?

No. There is no minimum order quantity.

How do I make margin as a retailer?

Our wholesale pricing is set to give stockists a solid margin. You can view our full retailer range and pricing at thinktastic.com.au/pages/retailer-catalogue before committing to anything.

Can I open a wholesale account?

Yes. Your account is created automatically when you place your first order through thinktastic.com.au. We supply newsagents, independent retailers, post offices, general stores, and similar businesses across Australia.

How do returns work?

Because orders are firm sale, we don't accept returns for change of mind or slow sales. If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, contact us within seven days of receipt and we'll sort it out. We stand behind the quality of our products.

What are the delivery charges?

We charge a flat rate for shipping regardless of order size. The rate varies by state, so the exact amount depends on where you're located. You'll see your shipping cost at checkout before you confirm.
